Asean best selling cars ranking final data in 2021 is again dominated by the Toyota Hilux, followed by the Hyundai Staria. The Toyota Rush reaches 7th position, while the Perodua Axia falls out of the leaderboard.

Indonesia's best-selling car in 2021 is the Toyota Avanza, followed by the Mitsubishi Fuso and the Mitsubishi Xpander. The previous leader Honda Brio drops in 7th place.

Laos car market in 2021 rises by 25.5% with 20,910 sales, reporting a very strong performance all year, except for Q3 when sales remained flat. Leader Toyota surpasses 50% market share this year, rising by 51.1%.

Myanmar car market in 2021 drops 68.1% with 5,008 sales, reporting an extremely sharp drop after the coup d'état. Leader Suzuki maintains 37.4% share.

Cambodia's car market in 2021 rises by 23.6% with 23,143 sales, reporting growth in all quarters. Toyota reports the best performance this year, gaining 53.8%.

Malaysia's car market in 2021 lost 5.2% with 501,972 sales, reporting a very strong first half, followed by a very steep drop in Q3. Mitsubishi reports the best performance this year, gaining 90.9%.

Singapore's car market in 2021 rises by 2.2% with 45,442 sales, reporting positive performance only in Q2. Hyundai reports the best performance, rising 28.6%, while Mitsubishi drops 45%.

Vietnam's vehicle market in 2021 falls 0.4% with 383,259 sales, reporting a very strong first half, followed by a double-digit fall in the second part of the year. VinFast reports the best performance, rising 54.4%.

Philippines Auto market in 2021 rises by 18.7% with 295,100 sales, reporting a very strong performance in Q2 due to the low sales reported in the previous year. Hyundai reports the only double-digit drop in sales, losing 40.2%.

Indonesia's Auto market in 2021 rises by 48.3% with 863,372 sales, reporting a very strong year except for Q1. Nissan was the only brand to report losses, falling a sharp 47.6%.
