Latin America best-selling cars ranking final data in 2021 sees the Toyota Hilux on top, followed by the the Fiat Strada and the Chevrolet Onix, while the Hyundai Creta reported an impressive performance, rising 9 spots.

Colombian Car Sales kept the negative momentum in the 2017 losing 6% and falling at lowest in last 17 years. Bad news from economic recovery, with S&P’s credit rating downgrade, could further penalize consumer confidence. 

Chilean Vehicles Market in 2018 grew 15%, keeping the positive trend of recent years, ending with registrations at 417.354. Chevrolet is the new market leader, ahead of Suzuki and Hyundai. Outstanding performances were registered by Volkswagen and Jeep.

Chile Auto Sales 2016 back over the 0.3 million units, after the sharp slowdown of the previous year. Hyundai was finally the leader, outpacing the historic leader Chevrolet.

Paraguay vehicle market signed a new all-time record in 2018 booming 27.1% with 35.403 sales, thanks to strong economic growth which fueled private consumers demand. Chevrolet jumped on the throne ahead of the former leader Kia, but the winner of the year was Nissan, up 90.6%.

Peruvian vehicles market in March 2021 reverses the negative trend of the previous months. In fact, 14.913 units have been sold in March (+94.6%), leading Q1 sales at 40.118 (+7.4%). The leader Toyota grows 325.6% while Mitsubishi falls 54%.

Argentina Auto Sales in 2018 collapsed - down 11.5% - after the great performance registered of previous year. Volkswagen was the market leader, while Toyota managed the first 1-2 ever with the Hilux and the Etios.

Latin America best selling cars in 2018 dominated by the Chevrolet Onix, leader for the third consecutive. The Nissan Versa jumped in second place, followed by the Ford KA, while the Toyota Corolla joined the Top 10.

Ecuadorian vehicles market kept the impressive momentum in 2018 with 136.738 sales, up 32.1%. Chevrolet was still on top, holding 35.2% of share, ahead of Kia and Hyundai. The winner of the year was Toyota, soaring to 66.9%.

Peru Vehicles Sales in 2015 fell 5% albeit the acceleration in GDP growth. The market has been one of the fastest growing in South America in the last decade. Toyota is market leader with the Yaris sedan as best-selling model.
