Reunion Cars Sales in 2015 up 7% at best level since 2008. French makers are fighting for the leadership with Peugeot again on top of the list thanks to the outstanding 208 performance. Renault was second.
Market Outlook
The French territory in the Indian Ocean has a healthy automotive sector steady recovering from the fall reported in the 2009 and any year closer to the record level hit in the period 2006-2008. During the 2015, consumer’s demand increased and thanks to many rebates offered by top brands, the market scored a +7.5% from the previous year.
The 27.260 sales represented the highest level since 2008.
The competition is in the hands of French makes with Peugeot leader again with 5.490 sales (+6.4%) ahead of Renault with 5.273 (+13.1%) and Citroen with 2.379 (+1.4%).
The top 3 models kept 39.!% of market share. The best was the Puegot 208, followed by Renault Clio and Captur.
