World Best Selling Coupe in 2019 was the Dodge Charger, overtaking the former leader, the Ford Mustang, which lost 3.4%. The Genesis G70 gained 7th place, signing a stunning performance, while the Tesla Model X fell 21.9%.

In 2019, the best-selling coupe was the Dodge Charger with 108.857 sales (+19%), reaching the top for the first time since 2014. Introduced in the US market in 1966, this model has been developed across seven generation, the last introduced in 2011.

In second place, the former leader, the Ford Mustang with 103.436 sales (-3.4%). Manufactured since 1965, it is the most iconic vehicle produced by Ford, having created the “pony car” class of American muscle cars, affordable sporty coupe with long hoods and short rear decks. The 5th current generation, launched in 2014 is distributed in over 135 countries. In third place, the Dodge Challenger with 65.108 units sold (-7.5%).

In fourth place, the Chevrolet Camaro with 54.081 units sold, down 6%. The Camaro went on sale on September 29, 1966, for the 1967 model year and was designed as a competing model to the Ford Mustang. Production was disconnected in 2002 when end-life was announced. However, in 2009 Chevrolet launched back the fifth generation, replaced in 2016 by the sixth current version.

In fifth place, the Tesla Model X with 45.231 units – losing 21.9% – ahead of the Mazda MX-5 and the Genesis G70.
