World Best Selling Pick Up in 2020 final data was led again by large American style models, while the best compact pickup is the “king of the desert”, the Toyota Hilux. The Great Wall Wingle 5 enters the leaderboard.
The undiscussed market leader remains the Ford F-Series, which hit the milestone of 1 million sales in 2017. US and Canada represent 98% of total sales. In 2020, the Ford F-Series registered 936.084 units (15.9% market share).
In second place the Chevrolet Silverado selling 643.848 units (10.9% share), overtaking the Ram Pick-Up with 631.445 units sold (10.7%).
In fourth place the king of the desert, the Toyota Hilux, with 457.876 sales. Differently from the previous three models, the Hilux sales are distributed over 140 different markets, dominating entire areas in Africa, South America, and the Middle East.
Following we have the Ford Ranger in fifth place with 325.410 sales and the GMC Sierra with 312.592 units, followed by the Toyota Tacoma with 267.287 sales and the Isuzu D-Max with 238.639 units sold.
In ninth place we have the Great Wall Wingle 5 -up 3 spots- with 129.209 units followed by the Toyota Tundra with 123.376 units sold.
