World Best Selling MPV 2017. The top 100

World Best Selling MPV ranking in the 2017 was dominated by the Chinese Wuling Hongguang with a wide gap over all other models. The segment is declining and have lost 6.5% from the previous year. No European models within the Top 10.

Global Sales

In the 2017, the “Multi Purpuse Vehicles” segment, accounted for the 8.4% of the global car passenger’s sales, with 6.7 million vehicles sold, down 6.5% from the previous year. The top three markets for this segment are Usa, China and Germany.

Best Selling Models

The best-selling model this year is the Chinese Wuling Hongguang with 523.000 units (-18.1%). Produced since September 2010 by SAIC-GM-Wuling it is actually sold just in China.

In second place the Bajoun 730 with 275.000 sales (-25.6%). Launched in the 2014, it was developed at the SAIC-GM-Wuling Chinese joint venture specifically for the Chinese market.

In third place the Honda Odissey with 201.000 units (-6.8%) followed by the Toyota Innova with 187.000 (+6.2%), the Dodge Gran Caravan with 173.000 (-3.3%), theToyota Avanza with 171.000 (+3.8%) and the Nissan Note with 169.000 (+18.0%)

In eight place the Kia Soul with 159.000 (-14.4%) ahead of the Buick GL8 with 145.000 (+83.2%) and in 10th place the Toyota Sienna with 143.000 (-13.7%).
