Spain best-selling cars ranking in 2020 was led by the Dacia Sandero which overtook last year’s leader, the Seat Leon. The Toyota Corolla jumped in 5th position and the Hyundai Kona entered the top 10.

Since the national Spanish manufacturer was acquired by the Volkswagen group, Spain welcomed the localization of vehicle manufacturing facilities becoming one of the most relevant production hubs in Europe and in the World. The domestic consumer does not recognize Seat as a unique national brand and the market concentration is among the lowest in entire Europe.

The best selling car ranking is characterized by a wide battle for leadership among several models of different brands.

In 2020 the Dacia Sandero leads the ranking with 24.035 units (-29.1%) and 2.8% market share, with less than 600 units of advantage over the previous leader, the Seat Leon, second with 23.582 units (-34.2%) and the Nissan Qashqai with 19.818 sales (-34.3%) and 2.3% share.

In fourth place the Renault Clio with 17.818 units (-30.3%) ahead of the Toyota Corolla with 15.478 units (-1.5%), which last year was 24th, followed by the Seat Arona with 15.365 units sold (-38.9%).
