Russia Best Selling Car Ranking of 2022 sees the Lada Granta moving into first position. The Chery Tiggo 7 and the Haval Jolion rise more than 150%.
This has been a terrible year for the Russian Vehicle Market that, due to the on going conflict in Ukraine, has lost 58.8% in sales compared to the previous year.
In 2022 the best selling car in Russia is the Lada Granta, with 95,879 cumulative sales (-14.0%). Far behind in second is the Chevrolet Niva with 38,780 units sold this year, a 24.3% loss compared to 2021. Confronting the two models, the Lada Granta holds 15.4% market share compared to 6.2% held by the Chevrolet Niva.
In 3rd place ranks the GAZ Gazelle with 32,324 sales (-31.3%), followed by previous year’s leader the Lada Vesta with 29,206 units sold (-74.3%), the Kia Rio at 24,686 (-70.2%) and the Chery Tiggo 7 with 18,982 new registrations, up an incredible 158.4%.
In 7th place ranks the Hyundai Solaris at 18,073 sales (-70.4%), followed by Haval Jolion with 17,112 registrations (+164.0%) and the Hyundai Creta in 9th with 16,577 units sold (-75.7%).
The UAZ Classic Commercial -up 150 spots- closes the Top 10 with 15,146 total sales.
