Slovenian autos market in 2022 totaled 46,111 sales, a 14.2% loss from the previous year. In fact, December posted the 12th consecutive fall of the year, reporting 2,516 new car registrations (-0.4%).

The Slovenian auto market in 2022 totaled 46,111 sales, a 14.2% loss from the previous year. In fact, December posted the 12th consecutive fall of the year, reporting 2,516 new car registrations (-0.4%).

Looking at cumulative data from 2022, brand-wise the leader remains Volkswagen with 7,354 sales (-14.3%), followed by Skoda -up 1 spot- with 4,574 (-18.9%) and Renault with 4,031 registrations(-35.6%).

4th place belongs to Hyundai at 3,199 (-11.9%), in front of Toyota – up 4 spots- at 2,948 (+30.8%), Kia with 2,850 (-2.5%) and Peugeot – down 2 spots- with 2,486 sales (-25.8%).

Citroen falls a spot into 8th with 2,116 sales (-15.6%), followed by Opel -up 6 spots- at 1,900 (+36.7%) and Dacia closing the Top 10 with 1,878 new car registrations (-24.0%).
